These terms govern your use of the KitchenVis website and any early-access preview of the KitchenVis service. By using the site you agree to them.

What KitchenVis does

KitchenVis generates photorealistic visualisations of a kitchen from a photograph you provide, using products drawn from a supplier's catalogue. Visualisations are produced by automated systems and are illustrative.

Visualisations are illustrative

We work hard to make each visualisation an accurate reflection of the products shown, and every image is checked automatically against the supplier's catalogue before you see it. Even so:

• colours vary between screens, and between a screen and a physical product;
• dimensions inferred from a photograph are estimates, not measurements;
• a visualisation is not a survey, a technical drawing, a cutting list or a quotation.

Always confirm products, finishes, measurements and prices with the supplier before ordering. We are not responsible for purchasing decisions taken on the basis of a visualisation alone.

Images generated by artificial intelligence

Visualisations are generated using artificial intelligence and are labelled accordingly. They are new images derived from the photograph you supply and the supplier's product references.

What you may upload

You may upload photographs of a kitchen only. You must not upload:

• images containing people or faces — these are automatically detected and rejected;
• images you do not own or have permission to use;
• anything unlawful, offensive, or containing malicious code.

You keep ownership of the photographs you upload. You grant us a limited licence to process them for the purpose of producing your visualisation and operating the service.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the site — no attempts to gain unauthorised access, no scraping or automated bulk requests, no interference with its operation or security, and no use of it to build a competing product. We may limit or withdraw access where use is abusive or excessive.

Our intellectual property

The KitchenVis name, the site, the software behind it, and the methods used to produce visualisations remain our property or that of our licensors. Supplier product names, images and catalogues remain the property of those suppliers. Nothing here transfers any of those rights to you.

Early access

The service is offered on a preview basis. It may be incomplete, change without notice, or be unavailable at times, and we may withdraw it. It is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss arising from reliance on a visualisation. Nothing here affects your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008, where those apply to you.

Privacy

Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information and forms part of these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continued use of the site means you accept the current version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute — without depriving you of any protection available to you under the mandatory law of the country in which you live.
